About the Sled Hotel in Finland
The operator has developed their rooms for experiential travelers who fancy the ultimate adventure in the Arctic. There are three custom-made hotel rooms in the Arctic Finland region and they all have been built on a sled. The sled hotel accommodates two people ideally and is 8 feet wide, 15 feet long, and 6.5 feet tall. Adding more comfort of travelers, there’s a bed, dining table, gas heater, and external dry toilet in the sled hotel.
The glass roof makes for the absolute highlight of the stay which allows you to soak the breathtaking views of Northern Lights from the comfort of your room. Additionally, the rooms are equipped with wonderful snowshoes and personal sleds to move around on the ice. This stay is surely a hot property right now in Finland, so if you are mulling over the idea of being here you need to act fast. The hotel is available for rent until mid-April. They are currently located in Kilpisjärvi, a small village in northern Finland, and you will have to get there on your own to avail their services.
“The wilderness surrounding Kilpisjärvi is known for its remote and uninterrupted Arctic tundra,” maintains Jonny Cooper, the founder of Off the Map Travel.
