Honestly, I never thought I’d do a blog on Luxembourg Free Parking. Here we are, and this prospect is too tempting to skip.

Read on if you plan to travel to Luxembourg in a car and explore the city.

Free Parking in Luxembourg City

We drove almost 1000 km from Wrocław (in southwest Poland) to Luxembourg City, surrounded by Belgium. Through our limited research, we understood that parking in Western Europe isn’t cheap, but the starting price of 2 EUR per hour for street parking in Luxembourg sounded scary when we realised that our Luxembourg trip would last 4 days.

Our accommodation didn’t help us much either by proposing 15-20 EUR/day. That was our last resort if we didn’t find anything cheaper.

Free Parking in Luxembourg City

It was already 7 pm when we reached Luxembourg City, and we were swamped after a marathon 12-hour plus drive. Luckily, free street parking in Luxembourg is a reality from 6 pm to 8 am.

Double-check the seasonal timings and prices, which may vary across different locations(I don’t know). Our trip was in February-end, and the accommodation was a 10-minute drive from the city centre. Parking rules are clearly explained on the street parking meter machine.

Our main challenge now was to find our lovely ride a haven for the day that wouldn’t burn a big hole in our pocket.

That’s when I Googled – Free Parking in Luxembourg City, and the first result was too good to be true. So, I checked the 2nd and 3rd as well, but eventually gravitated back to the first option P+R Bouillon.

P+R Bouillon Parking in Luxembourg

Address: Bouillon, 61 Rue de Bouillon, 1248 Hollerich Luxemburg, Luxembourg

A 10-minute drive from the city centre, P+R Bouillon is a 24-hour free parking in Luxembourg city.

Two things to keep in mind here! Do not lose the parking ticket, and show up at the exit counter before 24 hours. That’s it! You can always enter soon after exiting. If your vehicle stays for more than 24 hours at a stretch, you will be charged.

While checking the online reviews for P+R Bouillon parking, I stumbled upon many negative reviews emphasizing that this place never has a free spot!

Free Parking in Luxembourg City

True, remember it’s free parking in Luxembourg City. Since there aren’t many free parking facilities in the city, we made sure to reach the location as early as possible, precisely before 8 am (street parking charges are applicable after 8 am).

We reached the parking spot at 7-ish, parked our car close to the entrance, and headed toward the bus stop outside the parking area. We toured the entire city on public transport, took our car from the parking space after 6 pm and drove back to the hotel to park the car on the street next to our accommodation in Luxembourg.

By the way, public transport in Luxembourg is free for everyone!

You see what we did there! Repeat the process over and over for desired results, precisely as long as your trip to Luxembourg lasts.
